Jakarta, ThedailyID — 8 Indonesian resorts have secured places on the list of Asia’s 15 Best Resorts for 2026, according to Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards.
The annual ranking highlights top travel experiences based on reader surveys. This year, more than 600,000 readers participated by sharing their travel experiences around the world.
A resort differs from a typical hotel because it offers more than accommodation. Most feature recreational facilities such as swimming pools, spas, fitness centers, and nature-based activities, making them destinations in their own right.
Indonesia recorded one of the strongest performances in this year’s ranking. Eight resorts made the top 15, with most located in Bali.
Capella Ubud ranked highest among Indonesian properties, securing third place overall. Travel + Leisure readers praised the resort for its distinctive atmosphere and luxury experience.
The list also includes resorts in Maldives and Thailand, which continue to dominate luxury tourism across Asia.
