Jakarta, ThedailyID — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have reportedly asked guests attending their wedding in New York City on July 3 to celebrate without bringing gifts.
The request came to light through San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who said he received the instruction after being invited to the ceremony.
“They told everyone not to bring gifts at all,” Kittle told Extra TV, as quoted by Page Six.
Despite the request, Kittle admitted he still plans to bring something for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
“I think Travis likes old coins for some reason,” Kittle said. “So maybe I’ll get him an old coin. It sounds expensive, though.”
Page Six reported that it contacted representatives for Swift and Kelce but had not received a response.
According to previous reports, the couple will marry at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3. A source told Page Six that everyone involved in the event had agreed to keep the ceremony confidential.
“Everyone has sworn to secrecy,” the source said.
Meanwhile, Swift and Kelce have reportedly applied for permits to close streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to July 4.
According to The New York Post, New York City officials confirmed they received an application through the Street Activity Permit Office for those dates.
Winick Productions submitted the application in June. It requested temporary street closures and permission to install a large tent outside the venue to accommodate between 500 and 999 guests.
Separately, TMZ reported that the celebration could attract between 1,100 and 1,200 attendees, making it one of the largest celebrity weddings in recent years.
Reports also suggest several high-profile celebrities have received invitations. The reported guest list includes Zoë Kravitz, Suki Waterhouse, Karlie Kloss, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez.
Another source said Los Angeles-based celebrity wedding planner Mark Seed has spent months organizing the event at Madison Square Garden.
