Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesia’s largest corruption investigation involving the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program continues to expand. Prosecutors have named a sixth suspect and uncovered new allegations involving bribery, procurement fraud, and the sale of meal service locations. The Attorney General’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing as officials review new evidence and possible suspects, according to CNN Indonesia on June 19, 2026.
New Suspect Named
The Attorney General’s Office named Glory Harimas Sihombing (GHS) as the sixth suspect.
Glory chairs the Indonesia Food Security Review Foundation. Prosecutors said former National Nutrition Agency (BGN) chief Dadan Hindayana asked him to recruit partner foundations for the School Nutrition Service Units (SPPG).
Investigators alleged Glory later paid Dadan using foreign currency and Indonesian rupiah. Prosecutors believe the payments secured unlawful access to SPPG allocations.
Alleged Payments to Former BGN Chief
Investigators said Dadan received payments from the sale of SPPG locations.
According to prosecutors, Glory received authority to allocate SPPG sites. He then allegedly sold those locations to parties seeking approval to establish meal service units.
Investigators also alleged Glory communicated directly with BGN verification teams. They believe he influenced the approval process for affiliated foundations.
Prosecutors said MBG partners supplied the money after requesting assistance to secure SPPG approvals.
Sony Sonjaya Reveals 41 Names
Former BGN deputy head Sony Sonjaya reportedly identified more people linked to the case.
His lawyer, Krisna Murti, said Sony initially submitted 26 names. Investigators later found more records during questioning. The total then increased to 41 names.
Krisna said some people allegedly requested SPPG allocations for affiliated parties.
However, he refused to reveal the identities. He also declined to confirm names circulating on social media.
Alleged Fictitious CCTV Procurement
Sony also submitted information about an alleged fictitious CCTV procurement project.
His legal team included the information in Sony’s application for justice collaborator status.
The project allegedly covered around 5,000 CCTV cameras and fingerprint scanners for SPPG facilities.
Krisna said officials approved the procurement before Sony became deputy head of BGN.
He claimed Sony later questioned the vendor. However, the vendor failed to prove the cameras had been installed.
Krisna estimated the project’s value at around Rp300 billion. He urged prosecutors to identify everyone involved.
Prosecutors Continue Verification
The Attorney General’s Office said investigators are reviewing Sony’s statements together with other evidence.
Investigators are also examining allegations involving CCTV procurement, electric motorcycles, information technology equipment, and other purchases.
Officials have not decided whether they will approve Sony’s request for justice collaborator status.
The investigation remains active as prosecutors continue gathering evidence and identifying possible new suspects. Source: CNN Indonesia (June 19, 2026).
