Jakarta, ThedailyID — Bank Mandiri Taspen President Director Panji Irawan said retirement should not mark the end of productivity. Instead, it can become the start of a meaningful new chapter in life.
He delivered the message during the company’s “Glow and Grow” event. The program marked Indonesia’s National Elderly Day celebration in Jakarta on Thursday.
Panji said retirees can continue living healthy, active, and fulfilling lives after leaving the workforce.
He added that the initiative reflects Bank Mandiri Taspen’s commitment to three core pillars. These include Mantap Sehat (Healthy Living), Mantap Aktif (Active Living), and Mantap Sejahtera (Prosperous Living).
The event brought together 80 retired customers. It also formed part of the company’s effort to improve the quality of life for senior citizens.
Through the Glow and Grow program, Bank Mandiri Taspen provided education, empowerment, and social engagement opportunities.
The company designed the event to help retirees stay healthy, productive, and confident. It also encouraged stronger social connections during retirement.
During the gathering, members of the company’s leadership team interacted directly with participants.
They also distributed eyeglasses to retired customers who needed vision support. The gesture highlighted the company’s focus on elderly health.
Moreover, organizers prepared several wellness and personal development activities.
Participants received health screenings and joined group tai chi sessions. They also attended health seminars and beauty classes.
The event featured a Customer Entrepreneur Corner. The program allowed retirees to showcase and market products from their businesses.
Panji said Bank Mandiri Taspen will continue developing programs that provide tangible benefits for retired customers.
He added that the company’s mission extends beyond banking services. It also focuses on improving customers’ overall well-being.
Through initiatives such as Glow and Grow, the company hopes more older citizens can remain healthy, independent, and active.
Bank Mandiri Taspen also hopes the program will raise awareness about elderly welfare and healthy aging in Indonesia.
