Jakarta, ThedailyID — Hukumonline held the Indonesia Regulatory Compliance Awards (IRCA) 2026 to strengthen corporate governance and compliance culture in Indonesia.
The event marked the third edition of IRCA and gathered business leaders, legal professionals, regulators, academics, and industry stakeholders in Jakarta.
Chief Executive Officer Hukumonline Arkka Dhiratara said legal and compliance divisions now play a more strategic role inside companies.
He said compliance is no longer viewed only as an administrative obligation, but as a foundation for business sustainability and competitiveness.
“Legal and compliance are no longer behind the scenes,” Arkka said during the event at Le Méridien Jakarta.
According to him, companies now face increasingly complex regulatory challenges amid global geopolitical uncertainty and economic pressures.
He also highlighted the rapid growth of digital transformation and Artificial Intelligence adoption across industries.
Other growing concerns include Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) transparency, data protection, and corporate governance standards.
Arkka said awareness of compliance culture continues increasing among Indonesian companies.
That trend was reflected in IRCA 2026 participation, which involved more than 130 companies from multiple industries.
Besides the awards ceremony, IRCA 2026 also featured the Regulatory Compliance Summit and Breakout Sessions.
The discussions covered topics such as risk management, ESG, data privacy, governance practices, and cross-border regulatory compliance.
IRCA 2026 judge Natalia Soebagjo said many companies now see compliance as an integral part of long-term business sustainability.
She added that judges evaluated not only documents and procedures, but also how compliance culture is implemented in daily operations.
Meanwhile, Chief Media and Engagement Officer Hukumonline Amrie Hakim said participation increased 23 percent compared to last year.
A total of 131 companies from 23 industrial sectors joined IRCA 2026.
Hukumonline also refined its PROSPER classification system this year to improve assessment fairness and objectivity.
The framework considers industry regulations, business risks, operational scale, and company complexity during evaluations.
Amrie stressed that IRCA aims to become more than an awards event.
He said the forum also serves as a collaborative learning space to encourage adaptive and sustainable compliance practices in Indonesia.
