Jakarta, ThedailyID — IFG Life said long-term financial planning and protection have become increasingly important amid global economic uncertainty and volatile financial markets.

The company said weakening rupiah exchange rates, pressure on stock markets, and rising geopolitical tensions continue affecting household financial stability.

IFG Life Corporate Secretary Gatot Haryadi said economic conditions and financial markets would continue moving dynamically. He said stronger financial readiness could help families handle short-term uncertainty more effectively.

He added that proper financial planning and protection remain important to maintain long-term stability.

According to the April 2026 Macroeconomic Monitor report compiled by IFG Progress together with Bahana Sekuritas and Bahana TCW Investment Management, Indonesia’s domestic consumption remains relatively resilient.

Indonesia’s Consumer Confidence Index reached an optimistic level of 122.9 in March 2026, although the figure slightly slowed compared to the previous month.

Data from Badan Pusat Statistik showed annual inflation eased to 2.42 percent year-on-year in April 2026. The figure also remained within Bank Indonesia’s target range.

The company said the data reflected relatively stable household consumption despite rising living costs and ongoing economic pressure.

However, IFG Life noted that healthcare expenses and household costs have continued increasing in recent years.

The company warned that health risks and income loss could create heavier financial burdens if people fail to prepare early.

Gatot said financial protection should not only focus on monetary benefits. He said protection also provides security and helps families prepare for different stages of life.

He added that people with stronger financial planning and protection tend to adapt better during uncertain economic conditions.

To support public financial protection needs, IFG Life offers life and health protection services designed to help families maintain financial stability during unexpected situations.

The company said its services include family financial planning, health protection, children’s education planning, and retirement preparation.

IFG Life also emphasized the importance of risk management and financial protection as part of long-term financial resilience.
