Jakarta, ThedailyID — Millions of court and investigation documents linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are now publicly displayed in New York City through a large-scale archive exhibition.
According to AFP, the exhibition features around 3.5 million pages of Epstein-related records previously released online by the US Department of Justice. Some of the files previously sparked criticism because authorities heavily redacted portions of the documents.
Organizers compiled the records into 3,437 bound volumes and arranged them across archive-style shelves inside the exhibition space.
The transparency advocacy group Institute of Primary Facts organized the exhibition under the title “The Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey Epstein Memorial Reading Room.”
The exhibition title quickly drew public attention because publicly released Epstein files previously included references to Donald Trump and his past social connections with Epstein.
However, the exhibition mainly focuses on public access to government records, court materials, and investigative transparency surrounding the Epstein case.
The exhibition opened in the Tribeca area of New York City and will run until May 21.
Epstein became one of the most controversial figures in recent US criminal history because of his connections to wealthy elites, politicians, celebrities, and global business figures.
Authorities arrested Epstein in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges involving underage girls. He later died inside a Manhattan jail cell while awaiting trial, with officials ruling the death a suicide.
The Epstein case continues attracting worldwide attention because many documents connected to his network and associates remain under public scrutiny.
