Jakarta, ThedailyID — Police in Surabaya arrested a 25-year-old honorary teacher identified as MS for allegedly sexually assaulting his 14-year-old student multiple times.
Investigators from Polrestabes Surabaya said the abuse began in late 2025. However, authorities only arrested the suspect after the victim’s parents filed a police report in April 2026.
Head of the Women and Child Protection Unit, Melatisari, said the suspect allegedly carried out the assaults in several places. The locations included the school’s computer laboratory, a toilet, and an empty house in Sukomanunggal.
“The suspect committed the crimes since 2025 in the computer laboratory, the school toilet, and an empty house in Sukomanunggal,” Melatisari said.
Police said the first incident happened in November 2025. At the time, the victim was putting on her shoes outside the computer lab.
Investigators said the suspect suddenly pulled the student into the room and threatened her to stay silent. Police said he then locked the laboratory door before assaulting the victim.
Although the victim escaped, investigators said the suspect repeated the abuse several more times inside the laboratory.
Authorities said the assaults escalated in December 2025. Police claimed the suspect cornered the victim inside a second-floor school toilet after she finished using the restroom.
Investigators said the suspect pushed the victim back into the bathroom and locked the door before assaulting her.
“The suspect locked the bathroom door and forced himself on the victim until she experienced pain and bleeding,” Melatisari said.
During questioning, the suspect reportedly admitted to the assaults. Police said he claimed he “could not control his sexual desire.”
Investigators revealed the abuse allegedly happened four times in the computer lab, five times in the school toilet, and once at the empty house in Sukomanunggal.
Police also confiscated several pieces of evidence. The items included the victim’s school uniform, the suspect’s clothing, two Durex condoms, and a bottle of sexual enhancement pills.
Authorities charged the suspect under Indonesia’s Law on Sexual Violence Crimes and the Criminal Code. Because the victim is a minor, the suspect could face heavier punishment if convicted.
