According to Vice Minister of Youth and Sports Taufik Hidayat, the event plays a strategic role in developing Indonesia’s sports ecosystem.

“Events like this strengthen national sports development and position Indonesia as a capable host for global competitions,” he said.

Previously, the 2025 edition drew around 9,000 spectators during race weekend. In addition, its livestream reached over 1.2 million views, with another 3.1 million views coming from China.

Meanwhile, InJourney Commercial Director Veronica H. Sisilia said the event strengthens Mandalika’s global positioning.

“We see this as a strong promotional platform and a key driver to boost Mandalika’s appeal,” she said.

Acting ITDC President Director Ahmad Fajar highlighted the economic impact. He said the event creates a clear multiplier effect, from rising hotel occupancy to MSME growth and new investment opportunities.

Beyond the race itself, the event will also showcase Indonesia’s cultural identity. For instance, the opening ceremony will feature Mount Rinjani, Mount Tambora, Garuda, and the red-and-white flag through immersive visual elements.

Notably, around 500 performers will take part in cross-regional dance and music collaborations. As a result, the show will highlight unity and diversity across Indonesia.

From a sporting perspective, the 2026 edition will feature 23 GT3 cars and 46 drivers. Additionally, participants will come from countries such as Japan, China, Australia, France, the United States, and Indonesia.

According to SRO Motorsport Asia Director Benjamin Franassovici, Mandalika offers a unique experience.

“The circuit combines technical racing quality with strong cultural identity, making it stand out globally,” he said.

At the local level, the event will involve around 500 workers from West Nusa Tenggara. In turn, they will support operations across roles such as marshals and hospitality.

Ultimately, organizers expect the event to attract both domestic and international tourists. In doing so, visitors will experience high-speed racing alongside a festival-like atmosphere.

Tickets and Access

For spectators, three-day passes are available across several categories. Grandstand A tickets start at Rp50,000. Meanwhile, an optional pit walk add-on costs Rp100,000 for early buyers. On the other hand, Royal Box access is priced at Rp3,250,000. Group packages for up to 30 people reach Rp75,000,000.

Importantly, premium ticket holders will receive benefits such as lunch, refreshments, grid walk, pit walk, and paddock access.
