Jakarta, ThedailyID — Apple is expected to unveil several new devices at its “Pro and Tell” event in Los Angeles on October 28, 2026. Rumors point to new MacBook Pro models, an updated iMac and an OLED iPad Mini 8.
According to MacRumors, the event’s name hints at a major focus on professional devices, particularly a MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen. However, Apple has not confirmed the rumored product lineup.
1. MacBook Pro OLED
Apple may introduce its first MacBook Pro with an OLED display and touchscreen support. The technology could deliver richer colors, better contrast and improved power efficiency.
Rumors suggest Apple may replace the display notch with Dynamic Island. The laptop could come in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, with macOS 27 adding touch gestures alongside the existing keyboard and trackpad controls.
The device may retain the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips rather than move to a new generation. Reports suggest the M6 Pro and M6 Max may be skipped, while the M7 Pro and M7 Max could arrive in late 2027.
Apple may also reduce the laptop’s weight and strengthen its hinges to keep the screen stable during touch interactions. The OLED model could sit above existing MacBook Pro versions as a more expensive premium option.
2. Entry-Level MacBook Pro and iMac
Apple may also introduce a 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip. This model could offer a more affordable entry point into the MacBook Pro lineup.
An updated 24-inch iMac with the M6 chip is also expected. Reports suggest the desktop computer will retain its current design.
3. iPad Mini 8 With OLED Display
The iPad Mini 8 could become Apple’s first iPad Mini with an OLED display. However, it remains unclear whether the screen will retain a 60Hz refresh rate or support 120Hz ProMotion.
Rumors also point to a redesigned speaker system that uses vibrations instead of traditional speaker openings. This could help improve water resistance.
Apple may move the front camera to the landscape edge, following a design change seen on other iPad models. The tablet is also expected to use the A20 Pro chip, reportedly the same processor as the iPhone 18 Pro.
The iPad Mini 8 could gain an IP water-resistance rating, although its exact level remains unknown.
When Will the New Devices Go on Sale?
MacRumors expects the new Macs and iPad to reach stores as early as November 6, 2026. Apple could also open preorders on October 28, following a pattern used for its recent smart-home product launches.
All these details remain based on reports and rumors ahead of the event. Apple has yet to confirm the devices, specifications or release dates.
