Jakarta, ThedailyID — Barcelona maintained their perfect Champions League record with a convincing 4-1 victory over Galatasaray on Tuesday, October 13. The result also extended their impressive run across European and domestic competitions.
Galatasaray initially delighted their home supporters when Aleksey Batrakov scored in the 28th minute. However, Barcelona responded before halftime and quickly took control of the match.
Joao Cancelo equalized in the 43rd minute. After the break, Barcelona struck three more times through Fermin Lopez in the 50th minute, Anthony Gordon in the 53rd, and Karim Adeyemi in the 65th.
As a result, Galatasaray struggled to recover during a difficult 20-minute spell in the second half. Barcelona’s attacking pressure turned an early deficit into a comfortable three-goal victory.
The win put Barcelona at the top of the Champions League standings with six points from two matches. They recorded nine goals and conceded two, giving them a goal difference of plus seven.
Barcelona’s strong European form mirrors their performance in La Liga. The club has won all eight of its opening league matches, collecting 24 points and moving five points clear of Atletico Madrid.
New signings have also started contributing to the team’s momentum. Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi both scored against Galatasaray, while other new arrivals have added depth to Barcelona’s squad.
Furthermore, Gabriel Jesus has contributed as a substitute, giving the team another attacking option. Barcelona will look to maintain this momentum as they continue their campaigns in both competitions.
