Tangerang, ThedailyID — Halal Indo 2026 concluded its four-day exhibition on September 27, 2026, after attracting 28,707 visitors and recording more than Rp8.4 billion in transactions.
The event took place from September 24 to 27 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City. PT Dyandra Promosindo and the Ministry of Industry jointly organized the exhibition.
More than 350 brands participated in the event. International participants also came from eight countries, including Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam, the United States, Thailand and New Zealand.
Halal Indo 2026 combined retail activities with education, business networking and entertainment. The format aimed to connect businesses with potential partners and consumers while raising awareness of halal products and services.
“The high visitor turnout at Halal Indo proves that halal is increasingly becoming part of the lifestyle and consumer behavior in Indonesia,” Emmy Suryandari, Head of the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency at the Ministry of Industry, said at the closing ceremony on September 27.
Emmy said the exhibition served as more than a promotional event. She described it as a platform connecting industry, markets and investment to strengthen Indonesia’s halal industry ecosystem.
The event also supported the Ministry of Industry’s goal of expanding Indonesia’s role in the global halal supply chain. According to the organizer, Indonesia currently ranks first globally in modest fashion, third in halal food, and fourth in halal pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
The exhibition also gave small and medium-sized enterprises a space to showcase their products. Visitors could directly interact with businesses and explore new products.
Ismi Puspita, Project Manager of Halal Indo 2026, said interactive activities and educational talk shows were among the event’s key features.
“At the downstream level, this exhibition successfully serves as a major showcase for the rapid pace of product innovation of Small and Medium Enterprises,” Ismi said. She added that the programs also supported knowledge sharing about Indonesia’s halal industry ecosystem.
The organizers expect the business connections and public interest generated during the exhibition to support continued market demand. They said stronger demand could encourage SMEs to expand production and contribute to the wider creative economy.
Halal Indo 2026 received support from APP Group, BPDP, PT Darya-Varia Laboratoria Tbk, PT Mayora Indah Tbk and PT Paragon Technology and Innovation. Bank Rakyat Indonesia and Bank Mandiri served as banking partners.
The event also received support from the Ministry of Trade, Bank Indonesia and the National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS). Scarf Media and Modinity joined as strategic partners.
