Jakarta, ThedailyID — American singer-songwriter and guitarist KG Crown is expanding her international music career through Indonesia this September.
The 19-year-old Fender Artist is in Jakarta to meet Indonesian media, fans, musicians and creative communities. Her visit comes ahead of the release of her debut single, “Shut Up I’m in Paris,” scheduled for November 2026.
KG Crown, pronounced “kay-jee,” is using the visit to introduce her music to Indonesian audiences. She will also connect with local artists and creators while exploring opportunities for future collaborations.
The young artist describes her sound as pop-rock, with guitar and live instrumentation playing a central role in her musical identity. She has played five instruments since childhood and previously made music with her siblings.
KG writes her own songs and remains closely involved in the creative process. For live performances, she prefers a full-band setup featuring guitar, bass and drums.
“I have always loved the process of making music, from writing songs and choosing instruments to figuring out how everything can come together,” KG said. “That is an important part of why I see myself as a musician and songwriter.” Wednesday, September 16.
KG is also building her career independently. Beyond upcoming releases, she aims to expand her catalog, strengthen her live performances and reach audiences in more countries.
Indonesia is among the first international markets she is actively exploring. She has already gained support from Indonesian listeners through the online Krowns community.
“I have already received support from people in Indonesia who follow my music online, so I am very excited to finally come here and meet them,” KG said. “I also want to learn more about the music scene and creative community here, while exploring opportunities to collaborate.”
Her Jakarta schedule includes media interviews, a press briefing, meetings with creative partners and activities with Indonesian creators.
Meanwhile, KG’s debut single grew from a demo she created at home using a laptop and guitar. She later worked with Haywood to develop the production and complete the final version.
“Haywood really understood the sound I wanted to create,” KG said. “I am happy that I could bring a song I originally made at home into the studio and develop it further with him.”
“Shut Up I’m in Paris” is scheduled for release in November 2026. A second single will follow in early 2027 as KG continues developing her sound and expanding her international audience.
