Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesia goalkeeper Emil Audero endured a difficult debut as Rayo Vallecano lost 4-1 to Real Madrid.
Audero conceded three goals within the first 35 minutes. Kylian Mbappe, Alvaro Carreras and Jude Bellingham all found the net.
Rayo’s defensive problems played a major role in the early goals. Real Madrid repeatedly exposed gaps in the home side’s back line.
Mbappe opened the scoring from the penalty spot. Rayo defenders committed the foul after reacting to Carreras’ movement inside the box.
Meanwhile, Audero came off his line to intercept a cross during the second goal. However, Rayo failed to clear the ball quickly.
Real Madrid kept possession and built another attack. Carreras then combined with Mbappe before scoring from close range.
Vinicius Jr. created the third goal. The Brazilian winger broke through Rayo’s right side before sending a low cross into the box.
Bellingham met the cross with a low shot and beat Audero again.
Real Madrid eventually completed a 4-1 victory. The result marked Audero’s first appearance for Rayo Vallecano.
Despite conceding four goals, Audero had limited support from his defense throughout the match. Rayo struggled to contain Real Madrid’s attacking trio of Mbappe, Vinicius and Bellingham.
Audero joined Rayo Vallecano on loan from Como. He remains under contract with the Italian club until 2028.
The match therefore marked a challenging start to his new chapter in Spain.
