Jakarta, ThedailyID — President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, led the state funeral of Indonesia’s sixth vice president, Try Sutrisno, at Taman Makam Pahlawan Kalibata on Monday (2/3/2026).
The hearse arrived at 1:18 p.m. WIB. Earlier, the family formally handed over the late vice president’s remains to the state at Masjid Sunda Kelapa. The military conducted the ceremony with full honors. Family members, state officials, and TNI-Polri personnel attended the procession.
President Prabowo greeted Try Sutrisno’s wife, Tuti Sutiawati, and conveyed his condolences. Several national leaders also paid their respects. They included Indonesia’s sixth president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, 11th Vice President Boediono, and 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla.
The nation honored Try Sutrisno with a solemn farewell and full military tribute.
