Jakarta, ThedailyID – PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (Bank Mandiri) has allocated Rp44 trillion in cash to ensure smooth transactions during Ramadan and Eid 1447H.
The bank will distribute the funds for ATM and Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) replenishment from February 24 to March 25, 2026. This allocation represents a 5% increase from Rp41.9 trillion in the same period last year, reflecting higher transaction demand during the festive season.
Corporate Secretary Adhika Vista said Bank Mandiri structured the plan based on liquidity projections and national transaction trends. He estimated daily cash demand would reach between Rp1 trillion and Rp1.4 trillion, driven by rising consumption, salary payments, holiday allowances (THR) for civil servants, and increased travel ahead of Eid.
Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri joined Bank Indonesia’s Semarak Rupiah Ramadan dan Berkah Idul Fitri (SERAMBI) 2026 program. Through the initiative, the bank provides new and fit currency exchange services via the PINTAR BI digital platform, mobile cash units, and joint exchange counters across regions.
To anticipate peak non-cash transactions, Bank Mandiri has also set aside Rp18 trillion in BI-Fast settlement funds for March 18–25, equivalent to around Rp2.5 trillion per day. The move aims to maintain payment system stability amid higher interbank transfer volumes.
In addition, the bank operates 12,900 ATM and CRM units and 322,000 EDC machines nationwide to ensure service continuity throughout the holiday period.
On the digital side, Bank Mandiri continues to strengthen its ecosystem through Livin’ by Mandiri, which has attracted 37.9 million registered users. Customers use the platform to transfer funds, pay bills, top up e-money and e-wallets, use QRIS, and book transport tickets through the Sukha feature.
To support toll road and travel payments, the bank has stocked 1.1 million Mandiri e-money cards. It distributes the cards through branches, retail partners, e-commerce platforms, and vending machines at transport hubs.
Bank Mandiri has also mobilized a 24-hour IT monitoring team to oversee electronic payment channels and prevent disruptions during peak traffic.
Through these measures, Bank Mandiri aims to maintain customer confidence while supporting payment stability and domestic economic activity during Ramadan and Eid 1447H.
