Real Madrid Remain Confident of Keeping Vinicius Jr Despite Arsenal Interest

Jakarta, ThedailyID — Real Madrid have no intention of selling Vinicius Jr, despite growing speculation linking the Brazilian forward with a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal reportedly view Vinicius as one of their top transfer targets. However, Madrid remain confident they will keep the 26-year-old and eventually secure a contract extension.

Vinicius’ current deal expires in June 2027. If he does not sign a new contract by January 2027, he would become eligible to negotiate with overseas clubs before his contract ends.

Even so, Madrid reportedly have no concerns about the situation. According to Metro, the Spanish giants expect Vinicius to agree to fresh terms and have not considered selling him.

New Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho also sees the Brazilian as a key part of his squad. As a result, the club wants Vinicius to remain at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Meanwhile, reports claim Arsenal are willing to make Vinicius the highest-paid player in the club’s history. The Brazilian currently earns £400,000 per week at Madrid.

To complete the deal, Arsenal would reportedly have to reshape their wage structure. At present, Bukayo Saka ranks as the club’s top earner with a weekly salary of £365,000.

Despite Arsenal’s reported interest and financial ambition, Madrid continue to believe Vinicius will stay in Spain. Therefore, the club does not plan to entertain transfer offers for one of its biggest stars.
