Jakarta, ThedailyID — Citilink Indonesia and AQUA unveiled a special Airbus A320 aircraft livery titled Semangat Gerak! as part of a strategic collaboration aimed at delivering a more meaningful and comfortable travel experience. The livery symbolizes the shared values of both brands in supporting active and mindful lifestyles while accompanying passengers on their journeys.

The special livery was officially launched at the GMF hangar at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and attended by Citilink President Director Darsito Hendroseputro, Danone Indonesia CEO Laurent Boissier, and Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar. The collaboration is built on a shared vision to support a younger generation that values relevance, wellness, and sustainability. Through a “Shared IP in Motion” concept, the project extends beyond visual branding to convey messages of movement, freshness, and social responsibility.

A key component of the partnership is a joint commitment to sustainability, particularly the management of plastic packaging waste generated during flights. Plastic waste from onboard consumption will be processed through AQUA’s recycling ecosystem and repurposed into new bottle packaging or other products with economic value. The initiative reflects both companies’ efforts to promote circular economy practices within the transportation and lifestyle sectors.

Irene Umar said the collaboration demonstrates how partnerships between major brands can create broad and tangible social impact. With the large user base of both companies, the initiative strengthens the reach of sustainability messages while also contributing to Indonesia’s creative economy through the use of illustration as a storytelling medium. She expressed hope that such partnerships would inspire other industries to pursue similar collaborative models.

Darsito Hendroseputro said the Semangat Gerak! initiative reflects Citilink’s commitment to providing a more sustainable and purposeful flying experience. After five years of partnership, Citilink and AQUA are expanding their cooperation from operational collaboration to a value-driven strategic alliance, including the adoption of more environmentally responsible aviation practices.

AQUA representatives highlighted the importance of hydration and environmental awareness during travel. Vera Galuh Sugijanto, VP General Secretary of Danone Indonesia, said the partnership reinforces AQUA’s mission to provide healthy mineral water while strengthening recycling education efforts. Marketing Director Adisti Nirmala added that the livery is designed to build an emotional connection with consumers by visualizing refreshing and meaningful journeys.

The aircraft’s visual identity was created by local illustrator Teguh Septian Arifianto, known as GULA, whose expressive and colorful style reflects everyday life. Both companies view travel as an essential part of modern lifestyle, and through this specially branded aircraft, they aim to encourage people to stay active while caring for their well-being and the environment, offering a flying experience that is healthier, more comfortable, and more sustainable.
