Jakarta, ThedailyID — A commercial flight in South Korea turned back shortly after takeoff after 13 passengers reported severe ear pain linked to cabin pressure problems.
According to local authorities, the incident happened on a domestic flight operated by Jeju Air on Tuesday.
Several passengers reportedly experienced intense ear pain, dizziness, and discomfort during the flight. Some passengers also suffered nosebleeds and temporary hearing problems.
The aircraft eventually returned to the airport as a precaution after the crew detected abnormal cabin pressurization conditions.
Medical teams later examined affected passengers after the plane landed safely. Authorities confirmed that none of the passengers suffered life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are currently examining the aircraft to determine the exact cause of the cabin pressure issue.
