Jakarta, ThedailyID — Cleveland Cavaliers advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals after destroying the Detroit Pistons 125-94 in Game 7 on Sunday night.
The Cavaliers delivered a dominant performance from the opening quarter and never allowed Detroit to build momentum throughout the game.
Cleveland controlled both ends of the court with aggressive defense, fast ball movement, and efficient shooting that overwhelmed the Pistons early.
Several Cavaliers players contributed double-digit points as the team built a massive lead entering the second half.
Meanwhile, Detroit struggled offensively and failed to keep pace with Cleveland’s tempo. The Pistons also committed multiple turnovers that quickly turned into points for the Cavaliers.
The Game 7 victory completed Cleveland’s comeback in the series after both teams previously pushed each other through a tense six-game battle.
With the win, the Cavaliers officially secured a place in the Eastern Conference Finals and will face the New York Knicks in the next round.
Detroit’s playoff journey, meanwhile, ended despite several strong performances throughout the postseason campaign.
The blowout result also highlighted Cleveland’s growing status as one of the strongest contenders remaining in this year’s NBA Playoffs.
