Jakarta, ThedailyID — Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama heads into the 2026 Catalunya race weekend with growing confidence after his team highlighted his familiarity with the circuit.
The young rider will compete at the MotoGP Catalunya Grand Prix in Spain, one of the tracks where he already has previous racing experience.
Team officials believe the familiarity could help Veda adapt faster and improve his performance during the weekend.
The team manager said Veda understands several key sections of the Catalunya circuit. As a result, the rider may gain an advantage during preparation and race sessions.
“Veda already knows the track characteristics quite well, so we hope he can maximize that experience,” the manager said.
The Catalunya Circuit remains one of the most technical tracks on the MotoGP calendar. The layout combines long straights with challenging corners that test braking and consistency.
Veda has continued attracting attention as one of Indonesia’s rising motorcycle racing talents. He previously competed in several junior international championships and development programs.
Meanwhile, Indonesian fans continue monitoring his progress closely as more local riders enter international motorsport competitions.
The Catalunya race weekend could become another important step in Veda’s development at the international level.
